Colour Run

19/04/2017
Our rescheduled Colour Run will be held this Friday 21st April. Please read through the following information regarding this event to ensure that your child is organised and prepared to participate.

Colour Run
  • The colour run is scheduled to start at 2:00pm and finish approx. 2:30pm.  Students who have not returned a permission form to their classroom teacher will be unable to participate. The colours we will be using are made with high quality corn-starch and food dyes.
  • For the colour fun run students will run around a designated track on the school oval trying to complete as many laps as possible in the designated time period, and will pass through a number of colour zones. Each zone will have teachers who will throw nontoxic coloured powder and students can bypass the colour zone if they wish to not go through it.
  • Teachers will do their best to throw the powder at the torso, but wind and other factors can cause the powder to get on the face. Wearing goggles, sunglasses, and other eyewear will help to avoid flying coloured powder in the eyes. Participants can also bring bandanas or dust masks from home to cover their nose and mouth to protect their airways.
  • Students participating in the colour run should bring to school an old white t-shirt that they can change into before the start of this event.  This t-shirt should also be able to be “colourified”.  Students may wish to also bring a towel to clean themselves after the event.  Due to the nature of this event students should also wear appropriate shoes.

A reminder that Subway will still be available via Flexischools and that the P&C will be selling ice blocks at second break for $1.

Parents are more than welcome to attend and offer their support and encouragement as students participate in our first ever Colour Run.
