Sports Day 2016

18/07/2016
One of the most popular events of our school year is the annual School Sports Day. This year's event was held on Friday 17th June and was attended by a large group of parents, friends and relatives.  Students enjoyed the friendly rivalry between the three School Houses, Kessel, Klumpp and Logan.

Although the main emphasis is on enjoyment and participation by all, the students contribute points to their House for each event in which they participate.  This year's overall result was close, with the leading House changing throughout the day.

At the end of the day, when all the scores from the races, rotation activities and relays were added up, it was victory to Kessel (762 points) who are the sports day champion house for 2016 followed by Logan (386)  then Klumpp (283).

Our Prep to Yr.3 House Champions for 2016 was Logan (185 points) then Kessel (170) with Klumpp 3rd with 87 points.

In the ball game competition the result was extremely close with Kessel (174 points) becoming our ball games champion house for 2016 followed by Logan (165) then Klumpp (112).

Our age champion competition was also extremely close with age champions for 2016 being:
Yr.4 Girls Maddy Gerding                                       Yr.4 Boys Darcy Reid & Rico Crawford
10yr Girls Faryn Selby-Stubbs                                10yr Boys Tye Bierton
11yr Girls Arowen Vaux                                          11yr Boys Luca Scalon
12yr Girls Cindy Lin                                                12yr Boys Ryley Bierton

The school would like to thank all of the parents who attended the carnival and provided fantastic support as the students competed in the many events. Congratulations also to the house captains whose organization and leadership skills were greatly appreciated on Sports Day itself. Thanks must also go to all of the teachers for their efforts with the organization and running of the various events.  Please view our photo gallery from sports day.
