Our school clientele is diverse. This is what makes our school unique. We are represented by many nationalities, life experiences and differing backgrounds. We are familiar with everyone and our size allows us to foster a 'family' environment. It is not uncommon in our school to talk with parents who were once students at Upper Mount Gravatt State School. This long association is encouraged and every year we welcome old faces and friends to 'Grandparents Day'.
In recent times we have a group of short-term and long-term international students learning with us each year from countries all over the world.
Our school is supported by a very active and involved parents and citizens group. The P&C raises funds to support the teaching and learning in our school.
Our students benefit from additional resources that support our curriculum. P&C funds have provided extra computers, class sets of lego materials and robotics, reading materials and visual arts supplies.
Encouraged by the P&C the community has been successful in two competitions sponsored by Westfield. Extra computers, printers, video cameras and scanners have been added to the school resources as a result of these efforts.
